Lego Car Challenge
Recently, Ms. Brunke's 6th grade math classes took part in a Lego Car Challenge. This culminating activity allowed students to apply what they learned in terms of finding distance, rate, time, and unit rate. Students were required to build a Lego car that would go the farthest distance per second. They worked in groups to build and race their cars. In addition, students needed to record all of the groups' results as well as calculate the unit rates to determine the winning group. Wade Bonnell, Jason Feliciano, and Logan Huebsch from Mr. Ballard’s homeroom were our overall grade level winners!
