Tri-Valley’s Tara Berescik Burke Honored with NYAAE Outstanding Service Award

Tri-Valley Central School District is proud to announce that Tara Berescik Burke, agricultural education teacher, has been named the 2025 Outstanding Service Citation recipient by the New York Association of Agricultural Educators (NYAAE).

The award recognizes individuals who show extraordinary dedication, leadership, and service to students and their communities. Since joining Tri-Valley, Burke has led programs that support student growth and community engagement, including a school community garden, student-led food drives and volunteer projects like blood drives.

Burke has also expanded students’ global experiences with trips to Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Scotland, Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, and Switzerland. Beyond teaching, she became a certified foster parent to provide safe and supportive opportunities for students in need.

Her leadership extends to state and national agricultural education, including hosting the State FFA Convention at Tri-Valley and mentoring more than 10 student teachers and interns.

Burke is now a regional finalist for the National Association of Agricultural Educators Region 6 Outstanding Service Citation, with the national honoree to be announced later this summer.

Mrs. Burke’s dedication, vision, and leadership inspire our students and school community. Tri-Valley is proud to celebrate her outstanding service and accomplishments.
