Students in UPK- Grade 6 got to participate in Tri-Valley Elementary School’s Career Day on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. The day started off with a “Careers on Wheels” showcase. Careers where workers mainly work from their vehicles were showcased. Students were able to explore the vehicles and learn how these workers use it in their careers.
We would like to thank the following local organizations for taking the time to showcase their careers to our students:
- Catskill Veterinary Services
- Central Hudson
- Ulster County Sheriff
- Grahamsville Fire Company
- Town of Neversink Highway Department
- Sheeley Excavation
Students also got to visit a Career Fair following the “Careers on Wheels” showcase where different careers were present to explain their career to students. Students took part in activities where they circled each career they saw, and/or answered questions to earn an autograph from a presenter.
We had participants from the following career fields present:
- Music/Entertainment Venue
- Healthcare
- Mental Health Counseling
- Acting
- Photography
- Realty
- Security
