On Monday, May 8, a special ceremony was held at Tri-Valley Central School for 7th and 8th grade students. The assembly, put on by the 7th and 8th grade teachers, recognized students for achieving Perfect Attendance, Honor Roll, High Honor Roll, and Principal’s Honor Roll for the first quarter.
Special awards were also given to students who the 7th and 8th grade teachers selected as going above and beyond expectations inside and outside of the classroom. In the 8th grade, Andrew Kelly and Hope Woods won awards for Academic Excellence, Meilyn Jimenez-Castillo and Hailie Prince won awards for Leadership, Isabella Hatt and Angelina Hinkley won awards for Outstanding Work Ethic, William Blume and Mat Huggler won awards for Most Improved, Mackenzie Bush and Jeremy Rhode won awards for Outstanding Participation, and Jayden Cuji Angamarca and Tim Tschumi won awards for Exemplary Collaboration.
In the 7th grade, Adam Babcock and Sage Fiore-Yansick won awards for Academic Excellence, Abigail Rusin won the award for Leadership, Melany Cando Pilatasig, Cora Stephenson, and Jacob Whitted won awards for Outstanding Work Ethic, Sophia Bubbico, Tess Edwards, and Matthew Ortiz Jimenez won awards for Most Improved, Savannah Stickle and Jesse Wallace won awards for Outstanding Participation, and Cecilia Koskey-Barnes won the award for Exemplary Collaboration.
