Tri-Valley’s Career Readiness Program is multifaceted. The program aims to better prepare students for post-secondary life furthering their education with college or trade school or going into the workforce through many different activities. One of the facets is a business spotlight. Various businesses near & far have sent the program t-shirts to wear to highlight their business. So far, the program has spotlighted CARe (Catskill Animal Rescue) and Classic Hits 105.3. Students visit their website (if available) to find out various information about the business (name, location, logo, careers available, etc), they have a discussion about each business, then they each create a slide to focus on one career. The program is also setting up guest speakers and visits to local businesses. Students are enjoying these activities and learning about different careers available at businesses.
