The Tri-Valley Central School District Board of Education is pleased to welcome Joseph Lloyd, Ph.D. as the District’s new Superintendent of Schools, effective August 24, 2026.
Lloyd brings more than 24 years of experience in public education and a strong commitment to student success, educational excellence, and collaborative leadership. He joins Tri-Valley from the South Orangetown Central School District, where he served as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. His career also included service as an elementary principal, assistant principal, acting principal, and classroom teacher.
Throughout his career, Lloyd focused on fostering positive school cultures, supporting high-quality staff, promoting fiscal responsibility, and building strong partnerships with students, families, staff, and the community. His leadership experience and student-centered approach align well with Tri-Valley’s mission of developing curious, resilient, and confident learners.
The Board of Education looks forward to working with Lloyd as he leads the District into its next chapter and continues to build on Tri-Valley’s tradition of academic excellence and strong community connections.
