Tri-Valley Central School District students gathered on Monday, November 2, for the annual Field of Flags ceremony, honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The ceremony welcomed veterans from the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organization in Goshen, along with representatives from the Sullivan County Veterans Service Agency. Guests included Retired Officer Sheldon Dillon, Commanding Officer Frank Rzeczkowki, Officer Leo Ortiz, and Chaplain Eugene Rose.
Tri-Valley seniors Samantha Altman, Aaron Edwards, and Karley Davidson organized the ceremony as part of their efforts to recognize and support local veterans. Throughout November, the students will continue raising funds to benefit the DAV, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.
Community members who wish to contribute can make a donation through Tri-Valley’s DAV fundraising page.
The District extends its appreciation to the student organizers, visiting veterans, and everyone who contributed to this meaningful tribute to those who have served our country.
