On Sunday our Battle of the Books team—representing the Daniel Pierce Library—took part in the Regional Battle of the Books tournament that’s put on annually by the Ramapo Catskill Library System. The tournament took place at Orange County Community College.
Students had to read nine books over the summer, all from different genres. They then had to answer questions about the books in an intense competition.
Out of eleven competing libraries, our team finished in second place! Team members included RJ Leach, Gwen Redman, Em Richardson, Sophia Richardson, and Katelyn Sauer. The team was coached by TVTA members Jessica Dymond and Matt Haynes, along with Tri-Valley graduate Samantha Morgan.
