Chromebooks

The focus of providing Chromebooks at TVSD is to provide current tools and resources to the 21st Century learner. Excellence in education requires that technology be seamlessly integrated throughout the educational program.

Chromebooks empower students to maximize their potential and to prepare them for the future. According to studies and school reports, students who use a computing device in a one-to-one education environment are more organized and engaged learners, advance their knowledge and understanding of technology, and become constructors and designers of information and ideas. The Chromebook is a “next generation” device that makes learning more engaging and accessible.

The TVCSD Chromebook Procedures and Information Handbook outlines the proper use of Chromebooks for parents and students. A printed copy of the handbook is available from the Secondary School office. The Student Agreement and Parent Permission Form can be found and completed here.

Network Use and Internet Safety

The Board of Education is committed to undertaking efforts that serve to make safe for children the use of district computers for access to the Internet and World Wide Web. You can learn more about network use and internet safety at TVCSD.
