Elementary School Counseling

Elementary school counselors are educators uniquely trained in child development, learning strategies, self management and social skills.

The elementary years when students begin to develop their academic self-concept and their feelings of competence and confidence as learners. They are developing decision-making, communication and life skills, and are acquiring attitudes toward school, self, peers, social groups and family. The Tri-Valley Elementary counseling programs provide education, prevention and intervention services with a goal of removing barriers to learning and to promote student success.

Secondary School Counseling and Guidance

Course Catalog

In consultation with their guidance counselor, students map out a path for successful completion of high school, focusing on preparing for post-secondary school goals.  The Tri-Valley Central School Course Catalog is designed to assist you in that process by describing all courses, along with any necessary prerequisites or recommendations.

Naviance

The Secondary School uses Naviance, a college and career readiness website that helps align student strengths and interests to post-secondary goals.

Students can find information about colleges and programs, request letters of recommendation, and manage college applications.
