2022-2023 Adopted Budget

On May 17, Tri-Valley Central School District voters approved (569 to 259) a $35.8 million spending plan for the 2022-23 school year. 

Under the approved budget, spending will increase by $668,108 over the current year. The spending plan continues all current student programs, services, and student supports. Budget additions for next year include implementing RULER and continuing to focus on students’ social-emotional needs and recovering learning loss.

The budget carries a tax levy increase of 0.80%, which is within the allowable tax levy cap as calculated by the state’s formula. As a result, a simple majority (50% plus one vote) was needed for approval.

Also approved was the authorizing the district to establish a capital reserve fund to be funded over the next ten years (569 yes, 258 no).

Voters also elected George A. Dean (381), Travis Hartman (415), and Tim Dymond (560) to the Board of Education. They will begin their respective terms on July 1 and are set to expire on June 30, 2025.
